Overview

Ski Cooper, Colorado provides some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the area and is renowned for being a little off the beaten track and having a laid back atmosphere. It is one of Colorado's hidden treasures and has fewer crowds than other resorts, offering free parking and relatively no lift lines. It is a great resort for families as it provides excellent skiing, an average of 250 inches of snow each year and 400 acres of lift served terrain.

Location

Ski Cooper is located on US Highway 24 between Minturn and Leadville in the scenic San Isabelle National Forest.

Season/Hours

Seasons usually run from late November to early April and the mountain is open from 9am to 4pm.

Cooper Ski Area has one of the friendliest ski schools in Colorado offering classes and rental packages for all skiers, including complete novices. The small classes and experienced instructors ensure personalized attention. The nearby town of Leadville is the most convenient place to lodge during your stay with a wide range of accommodation from luxury hotels to quaint bed and breakfasts. The pretty town also has rental shops, bars, restaurants and shopping.
