An old European favorite, snow biking is quickly growing in popularity in the United States and especially at Vail, which operates a terrific learning area run by qualified snow-bike guides.
Snow biking (or ski biking) is an exciting way to schuss down the mountain without the leg and knee pain sometimes associated with skiing. Europeans have been using snow bikes to traverse snowy mountains since the 1850s. In the Alps, it's a popular way to fetch the family Christmas tree.
Snow biking is part bike, part skis and all fun!
