Parking Tips
Vail and Beaver Creek are very popular destination resorts. They
are also a fairly easy commute for locals who enjoy all that the area
has to offer. To make the most of the time you have to spend
there, it is best to make specific plans about parking your vehicle.
The first thing to check out is to see if a parking space is provided
with your lodging. Many accommodations come complete with a
parking space.
There are 2500 parking spaces available at the Lionshead and Vail
Village parking structures. During holidays and on the weekends,
these spaces fill up quickly. Once they are filled, it is
permissible to park on the South Frontage Road. Parking fees in
the structures are hourly and have a $16 daily rate. They do
accept cash and credit cards.
These structures also have pre-paid parking spaces which are fairly
easy to find and are convenient for short-term parking, or guests who
arrive late and want to hit the slopes quickly. Look for these
spaces on the top deck of the Vail Village parking structure and on the
second level of the Lionshead parking structure. Rates for these
pre-paid parking spaces are $20 for the day or $3 for a maximum of
three hours. Credit card and cash are also accepted for pre-paid
spaces. Be sure to display your receipt on the driver's side
dashboard of the vehicle.
In the summer, you can park in either of these structures free of
charge. The parking spaces are available on a first-come
basis. Even in the summer the spaces fill quickly on the weekends
and holidays. As you enter Vail, you will see signs that will
alert you to the availability at these parking structures.
Also, during the summer months, there is free parking available at the
Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and the soccer field which are located each
of Vail Village. If there is a concert or other scheduled event,
the fee for parking here is $5.00.
