Car Rentals
If you want to take your own self-guided tour of the area and don't mind driving, then you can plan ahead and arrange for a rental vehicle. Rental vehicles are available at Denver International Airport and through-out Eagle County. If you are coming in the winter and bringing your own equipment – skis and/or snowboards – be sure to let the rental car agency know that you want your rental car fitted with ski rakes. In the summer, perhaps you will need a bike rack.
Remember to always drive safely. Go slow on unfamiliar roads and take extra precautions in the winter. An independent vacation in Vail and Beaver Creek when you can come and go as you please is easily done with the use of a rental vehicle.
