The school is made possible primarily through contributions. School programs are subsidized up to 80 percent. You are free to make donations to help continue the good work during your visit.

The school won the 2002 Award of Environmental Excellence by the Colorado Springs based El Pomas Foundation. The award acknowledges outstanding non-profit organizations in Colorado. Gore Range Science School was received the award in recognition of the excellent scientific education offered to students and adults in the Eagle County and beyond.
