As a destination wedding location, Vail is abundant
with venues suitable for weddings. You can choose between cozy
lodges, outdoor pavilions, resort ballrooms, ritzy restaurants, or open
meadows, all with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop. Each
venue varies in price, size, and availability. Some locations are
available for buyouts or partial buyouts, depending on the size and
duration of the party.
Many couples choose to hold their ceremony at the
same location of their reception. Most hotels and resorts provide
scenic decks or pavilions to exchange vows. Some also have
nondenominational chapels which you are allowed to decorate. If
you would like to get married in a church or temple, Vail has several
to consider.
Many lodges and hotels offer discounted rates for
groups of 20 or more, even if you are holding your wedding
reception in another hotel or restaurant. Your family and friends
can choose between a variety of accommodations from rustic cabins, to
fancy resorts, to cozy motels.
The summer months see more weddings than the other
seasons, so it is best to make reservations for ballrooms, restaurants,
and churches well ahead of time.
