There is so much to see on the journey to Vail or Beaver Creek that we strongly advise you get the map out and take in as many of the beautiful surrounding Colorado towns as you can!
Denver
Denver is located an hour and a half outside Vail along Interstate 70. The drive is stunning with forest covered mountains and grassy valleys. Experience city life in Denver, complete with bars, shops and restaurants all surrounded by the beautiful Colorado scenery.
Leadville
Leadville, Colorado is a glorious city with a fascinating historical past and is surrounded by the Rockies. Leadville lies just 38 miles from Vail and has some excellent attractions such as The Leadville Historic District.
Summit County
Just an hour’s drive from Vail is Summit County. This pretty area is great for all kinds of outdoor recreation and is a good place for affordable, quality accommodation.
Glenwood Springs
Glenwood Springs lies an hour from Vail along the picturesque Interstate 70. The natural springs offer a tranquil, relaxing experience and hiking, mountain biking and water sports are also available.
Steamboat Springs
Steamboat Springs, Colorado is a beautiful area just two hours drive from Vail along a scenic route. The ski conditions in the area are world class and there are a wide range of recreational pursuits both summer and winter.
Rocky Mountain National Park
The Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado is three hours northeast of Vail and boasts miles of hiking trails. The high altitude of the mountain peaks offer magnificent views and it is well worth a visit on the way to Vail.
