For excellent fly fishing, travel to the Eagle River near Vail, Colorado. The fishing in the Vail Valley is great with many opportunities for great water and great catches. the Gore Creek runs through Vail and into the Eagle River which then empties into the Colorado River located father down the valley. This is a great area for fly fishing and spin fishing nearly all year around.
The Eagle River is especially beautiful in the fall and many locals fish here on a regular basis. Many of the wild trout that inhabit these waters are colorful and strong and vary in length up to as much as 18-21 inches.
