Teva Mountain Games
Vail opens its arms and offers its mountains and rivers as the venue for the annual Teva Mountain Games. The weekend festival featuring competing national and local athletes, mountain gear vendors and fun seekers alike is something not to be missed this summer.
The Teva Mountain Games represent the country's largest celebration of mountain culture, soul, and sport. The Mountain Games take place each year in Vail, Colorado. The mountains and rivers of Vail provide the perfect venue for this fun filled event.
The event includes competitions in freestyle and extreme kayaking, kayak and raft paddle cross, speed and dyno-climbing, mountain bike trails, bouldering, cross country racing, trail running championships, the Vail Hill Climb and the GNC adventure sprint race. Professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes from the local area and around the world come to Vail to participate in six sports and ten disciplines.
As if all of this was not enough, the Teva Mountain Games also include a mountain photography competition, merchant area Gear Town, eco friendly showcase arena Green Light, an interactive exhibition and demo area, and live music. Come and enjoy the day and then speed the evening at any of a number of mountain lifestyle parties.
